Data Analysis and Clean‐Up

Indexes are created whilst data is read from tape and a first pass of format analysis, correction and repair takes place. Post‐Stack data can be reformatted to SEGY at this point. The trace headers are displayed in a spreadsheet style document with a range of tools for data quality control, scatter diagrams and plots. Navigation data is also standardized on input to provide similar views. With the simple click of the right button at the top of a trace header entry column anomalies can be viewed and subsequently edited.

Merge SEGY/Nav – Workstation Ready

To assist there is a simple calculator that will work out the relationship between Common Depth Point (CDP) and Shot Points (SP) when that information is not readily available.
Extrapolation over lead‐on and lead‐off is also available so that the traces can be included in any future data analysis.

Display and Plotting

Data may be displayed in a variety of methods from scatter diagrams, stick plots to line tie. Most values may be represented in this way so that the user has a pictorial view that will easily show where there are either errors or incorrect data entries. The line tie is where one line intersects another and from this
it is easy to see if there is a successful population of positioning information.
